Calculation Examples

Below are two examples that demonstrate the step-by-step calculations for IQV using both Basic and Advanced calculators.

Example 1: Calculating IQV (Basic)

Step Calculation Result
Number of Categories 5 5
Sum of All Squared Percentages 8000 8000
IQV Calculation 5×(10028000)1002×(51)\frac{5 \times (100^2 – 8000)}{100^2 \times (5 – 1)} 0.5

Example 2: Calculating Adjusted IQV (Advanced)

Step Calculation Result
Total Number of Responses 500 500
Number of Top Categories 3 3
Sum of Top Categories’ Percentages 150 150
Adjusted IQV Calculation 3×(1002(150500×100)2)1002×(31)\frac{3 \times (100^2 – \left(\frac{150}{500} \times 100\right)^2)}{100^2 \times (3 – 1)} 0.8

Use the Calculate button after entering values to see results. Press Reset to clear all fields for a new calculation.
