Moon Weight Calculator

The Moon Weight Calculator allows you to calculate an object’s weight on the Moon or other planets based on its Earth weight. To get started, use the Basic Calculator by entering the Earth Weight (lbs) to find the Moon Weight (lbs), or vice versa by leaving one field empty.

For other planets, switch to the Advanced Calculator and enter the Earth Weight (lbs) along with your choice of Planet. The Weight on Selected Planet (lbs) will display automatically upon calculation. Click Calculate for results or Reset to clear all fields.

Input Field Purpose
Earth Weight (lbs) Enter the object’s weight on Earth in pounds to calculate its weight on another planet.
Moon Weight (lbs) This field shows the object’s calculated weight on the Moon. Leave this empty for auto-calculation.
Planet Selection Select the planet (Moon, Mars, or Jupiter) to calculate the weight adjusted by gravitational force.
Weight on Selected Planet (lbs) Displays the weight adjusted for the selected planet’s gravitational pull.

Example 1 – Basic Calculation

Step Calculation Process
Step 1 Enter Earth Weight (lbs) as 180.
Step 2 Leave Moon Weight (lbs) blank.
Result The calculator displays Moon Weight (lbs) as 29.72, reflecting the lower gravity on the Moon.

Example 2 – Advanced Calculation

Step Calculation Process
Step 1 Enter Earth Weight (lbs) as 180.
Step 2 Select Planet as Mars.
Result The calculator shows Weight on Selected Planet (lbs) as 68.18 due to Mars’ gravity.
